Los Angeles: Jennifer Lopez is diving into a packed and joyful summer with central performances and personal time on her agenda. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the 55-year-old superstar revealed her excitement about hosting the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26 while preparing to headline WorldPride in Washington, D.C., this June.
“It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy,” Lopez said, describing her current mindset as healthy and energized.
Her summer plans include launching her Up All Night Live tour on July 4 in Egypt — her first tour in six years. Amid her busy schedule, Lopez intends to spend time with her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max.
While they won’t attend the AMAs due to school, she hopes they’ll join her for the WorldPride concert.
Lopez also shared details of a minor injury sustained during rehearsals for the AMAs. “I hurt my nose. I had to get stitches,” she revealed, adding that the intense, high-energy routine caused a few accidents among her team.
Still, her spirits remain high, and she’s focused on making fans sing, dance, and enjoy the experience.
Having first hosted the AMAs in 2015, Lopez’s return marks a full-circle moment in her dynamic career. With her tour, Pride performances, and the AMAs ahead, the pop icon is ready to light up the summer.
